Well, it's that time again.
ELECTIONS!
If you are currently reading this I am sure it is because you are curious about me as a candidate. What I want to do, my policies, and why you should consider voting for me.
Well for starters, I have had a lot of past leadership experience. I am currently the President of the National Junior Honor Society where I have learned how to manage a team, conduct meetings, schedule events, post announcements, and everything in between the lines. I have also been NJHS Treasurer and Parliamentarian in the past years, as well as SGA Advisor in 8th grade which all have contributed to my knowledge and skills that will help me make this upcoming Sophomore year incredible. I want you to look back on your Sophomore year and say "Wow, what great times."
Now as for policies I want to execute, my top priority is what YOU would want to be enacted. I truly believe in making your voice heard loud and clear. I don't care if I am in class, in the hallway, outside, or mid-run in Cross Country training, you can ALWAYS count on me to listen to your request, and if reasonable, I will put your words into action; because I care for you and the Class of 2027's wellbeing. As for my policies, I want to try and host more social events for the Sophomore class. That could be field trips, collaborative events with other classes (I know most if not all candidates running for other class elections and can work with them if needed), or a Sophomore exclusive activities. I believe socializing is so important and often not emphasized in the stressful times we live in. This needs to change.
If you have any questions you would like to ask me, please feel free to get my attention when you see me or email me at rylensalinas@ccsstudents.org and I will be happy to answer your questions. Thank you.
